The Gloversville Public Library will hold its weekly story time at 10:30 a.m. in the Carnegie Room at the library. Cheryl Andrist will be the featured reader. The children will listen to stories and they will participate in making a craft to take home. Snacks will be served. Story time is for children age 2 and up, accompanied by an adult.
ST. JOHNSVILLE
The Morris J. Edwards American Legion Post 168 will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. in the legion hall. All members are asked to attend the meeting as many important subjects will be discussed.

The Galway Public Library's "Knit Lit" group will meet at 7 p.m. The group meets on the second Friday of each month. This informal group is open to anyone who likes to knit, crochet, embroider, etc. Bring any portable project and come to visit, exchange tips, learn new techniques, or share ideas. Frothingham Free Library in Fonda will sponsor a book sale and bake sale at the library Friday, from 12 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to1 p.m. Donations of books are welcome and should be dropped off at the library by today.

The Century Club of Amsterdam, 130 Guy Park Ave., will be having a spring home show Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Many local businesses will be displaying their services to fix up homes inside and out.
